About

Since 1991, we’ve taken a different approach to the luxury homebuilding business. We don’t just accept every project that comes our way – we’re selective in what we build, never stretching ourselves too thin with too many projects. We believe that by keeping our company agile and streamlined, we’re better able to stay focused on our clients and their needs. And when we do that, we find that everything else just takes care of itself.

Whether you’re looking for someone to build a brand-new custom luxury home or to renovate your existing home, Bright Bay Builders can help. Bright Bay’s owner Paul. A. Haggar is a certified building contractor, and he and his team of certified contractors manage the construction of your home from concept to completion. Their unflaggingly high standards set the tone for every Bright Bay home. Bright Bay uses only the best material and technologies on the market today and hires only the most qualified professionals to design and build your home.

Bright Bay is distinguished as a National Green Building Certified builder, which means that every Bright Bay home can be designed to maximize energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

The possibilities are endless. We invite you to come find out for yourself.

Paul A. Haggar

President

Paul started Bright Bay Builders over twenty years ago, just two years after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration. He first started out in the construction industry before college and has dedicated his career to learning everything there is to know about the art and science of building construction.

Today, Paul oversees the construction of every Bright Bay luxury home. His careful and meticulous detailing ensures each home is built accurately, on time and on budget. Over his many years of experience in the industry, he’s developed strong, long-term relationships with Tampa Bay’s best vendors and subcontractors.

A second-generation, state-licensed building contractor, Paul is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Florida Home Builders Association and the Tampa Bay Home Builders Association. He’s passionate about providing his clients a beautiful and healthy home where they will create a lifetime of memories. He’s been married to Danielle Haggar for over fifteen years; they have two children together.

Tony Huber

Construction Manager

Ask Tony what he thinks is the most important contributor to a successful construction project, and he’ll tell you: Having a close working relationship with the client. Tony started his career as a carpenter apprentice, but he didn’t waste any time moving up – it wasn’t long before he was running his own residential framing business. A state-certified contractor, he’s been overseeing residential construction projects since 1989 and has spent the last decade making sure that all Bright Bay homes meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Tony’s experience gives him the insight needed to anticipate potential issues before they occur and prevent any delays in the construction process. He thoroughly vets each set of plans and specifications before a single footer is ever poured. Tony’s refusal to settle for anything less than perfection sets him apart from any construction manager we know, and it’s reflected in every home we build.

Since then, he has worked with some of the leading custom home builders in the Tampa Bay area. Tom prides himself on not only his level of professionalism and the skills he has gained in his over 30 years of experience, but in his dedication to his clients and commitment to achieving their utmost satisfaction.

Tye Vogel

Construction Manager

Tye discovered his passion for building and construction very early on. He grew up in a small farm town in Michigan where everyone in his family had worked and retired from GM.   Tye realized this was not his path, and as a high school freshman, he started helping his shop teacher restore gambrel barns.  After high school, he worked 3rd shift at an aluminum factory as a maintenance foreman, and during the day, he had a second job building houses – all while raising a family and coaching and playing hockey.

In 2005, Tye moved from Michigan to Florida.  Ever since, he has managed numerous luxury custom new-build and large-scale home remodel projects.  Tye’s experienced, knowledgeable and has a genuine dedication to his clients.

Tye has made Pasco County his home and enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and three poodle mixes.  In his spare time, he works on restoring his 1967 Chevelle.

Bright Bay’s Team

They say that quality attracts quality. And that’s always been true of Bright Bay’s relationships with its team members. Our hard-won reputation for quality means we have our choice of subcontractors to work with – and naturally, we only work with those who are able to meet our exacting standards. We tend to work with a very select group, and the relationships we’ve cultivated over the years ensure our projects run smoothly, on schedule and within budget.

Where We Build

We build all over the Tampa Bay area, but the majority of our work can be found in Snell Isle, south Tampa, Clearwater, southern Pinellas County and the Pinellas beaches.
